Wall Unit by Renato Forti for McSelvini, 1960s

The F54, designed by Renato Forti in 1954, has been created with the intent that the library should be a furniture “at the service” of a fiery reader and therefore able to grow both in height and in width (even one level at a time) to accommodate new books.Without a required intervention of a specialized assembler. The bookcase was then designed as a shelf: flat and cross sides, to be assembled without screws or glue. All components are made of a thick layer of beech plywood.
