Pair of paintings with bucolic landscapes signed and dated 1890

This is an exquisite pair of oil on canvas paintings, both signed in red lower right and dated 1890. Unfortunately the artist has not been identified and the paintings are being sold without a certificate of attribution. The high artistic quality, however, is evident in the representation of idyllic country villages surrounded by lush vegetation. Animals play a central role in each composition: one painting features a dog and a donkey, while the other depicts cows grazing peacefully. The inclusion of these animals infuses vitality into the scenes, creating an engaging and lively atmosphere. Both works are elegantly framed in richly decorated wood.
