Pair of antique French oil paintings on canvas depicting Nymphs

Pair of antique oil paintings on canvas with coeval frames belonging to the early 19th century. One of the two scenes portrays a couple of Nymphs in an erotic attitude immersed in dense vegetation, surrounded by architecture. In the other scene the composition is always occupied by the two Nymphs but at the moment in which one of them tries to remove a thorn from the other's foot, and they are always surrounded by vegetation and architecture. The splendid workmanship and the refined color scheme clearly refer to the French pictorial culture of the early nineteenth century.
