Mou Sideboard by Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Molteni, 1970s

Superb and very rare sideboard designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Molteni, belonging to the Mou series. The piece of furniture, made in Italy in the late 70s, is in black mirror lacquered wood on the front and back, with black leather handles, it has two drawers in the center with an open compartment and two doors on each side with a shelved very large interior. The piece of furniture is very rare because it already had a high selling price at the time, especially in the black lacquered finish and in this impressive three-module version, which is why only a few examples were produced by Molteni. The condition of the object is excellent, as shown in the photographs, with only a few small signs of aging visible only against the light.
