Luigi Basile's painting is an extraordinary work of Italian landscape painting. Basile was inspired by the artists of the Posillipo School and in particular by the master Attilio Pratella. The very small and rapid Neapolitan views are masterpieces for the exquisite colors between very fine grays and greens alternating with sudden warm and romantic tones, or with surprising whites.
