Jean Pierre Marie Jazet, pair of large old engravings, 19th century
Beautiful pair of old engravings by Jazet Jean Pierre Marie from the mid-19th century with two different subjects, "Louis XV at the battle of Fontenoy" of May 11, 1745, after a work by the painter Emile Jean Horace Vernet made in 1828, and " The last day of Pompeii" from a work by the painter Frédérick-Henri Schopin made in 1850. The pair of engravings by Jazet Jean Pierre Marie (France 1788/1871 ca.) are complete with original coeval frames in gilded wood. Excellent condition, some age-related defects in the gilt frame, price negotiable.
