Historical Notes: He presents himself first and foremost as a great figurative painter, therefore far from any experimentation and consistent, from the beginning, with a poetics that will remain constant throughout the entire span of his production. Guido Casciaro is first and foremost a landscape painter. Son of art, he studied at his father's school, living in a house/museum, an exclusive meeting place for artists and writers. A coveted place full of culture and art, in which the young Guido formed his own critical conscience. And it is precisely this early awareness of the things of Art that leads him to detach himself, albeit with a certain pain, from his father's manner and technique.
