Group of four antique paintings depicting four views of Naples attributed to the famous Neapolitan painter Girolamo Gianni.
Girolamo Gianni. Naples 1837/Malta 1896. Neapolitan painter, he began painting in his hometown, dedicating himself to urban landscapes and sea views, but always with characters who liven up the scene, mainly using watercolor and gouache techniques. He remained in Malta for over 20 years, but did not abandon the subjects of his origins, alternating Maltese views in his production, in particular Valletta and its port, with views of Naples, Capri and the coast. Loved by tourists who bring travel memories with them, he has often also worked on commission for large format subjects.
