Giovanni Guarlotti, Galliate (Novara) 1869 - Turin 1954, studied at the Albertina Academy in Turin with P. C. Gilardi, A. Marchisio and D. Cosola. He exhibited mainly in Turin, both at Promotrice (1894, Portrait of his mother) and at the Circolo degli Artisti (from 1896) and participated in the 1898 Sacred Art Exhibition with the painting The martyr of Golgotha. Attendance at the exhibitions in Milan, Rome and Munich is rarer. Drawing teacher in professional schools, he remained independent from any environment.
