Antique Victorian extendable table in solid mahogany, 19th century

English Victorian table in solid mahogany, extendable by tearing up to more than double its size when closed. The table has four beautiful tulip-shaped legs and in the upper part a leaf motif carving alternating with flowers, while in the lower part they end with four burnished bronze wheels, contemporary with the table. The top has rounded edges and an inverted groove profile, an element of great elegance and refinement. The term "Victorian period" indicates the reign of the great Queen Victoria, who ruled England from 1837 to 1901: a period of enormous changes.
