Antique Umbrian bread sideboard from the Louis XVI era - late 18th century
Antique bread container sideboard from the Louis XVI era - 18th century Italy, Umbria. This cabinet is a sideboard with an upper opening compartment and a large drawer at the bottom. Used in antique times to make bread, today it is a very rare and sought-after furnishing object. Entirely made of solid chestnut, the sideboard retains all the contemporary nails and hinges of the time, and has the initials of the original owner engraved on the front. The sideboard has been completely restored with a wax finish, and does not require any intervention.
