Antique Smith Neapolitan bookcase in mahogany feather

Antique Neapolitan Smith bookcase in mahogany feather with maple inlay grafts belonging to the early 19th century. The front elevation is characterized by two glass doors with a series of maple shelves inside, easily adjustable via a ladder system. The two corners have constrictions in the center with a leaf motif and have sphinx heads in the upper part of the hat. The hat appears to be shelled upwards, while the base has a curvature highlighted by a dense raceme inlay. The two uprights of the doors are convex and are enriched by the presence of raceme maple inlays. Provenance: Naples, early 19th century
