Antique Italian single sleigh bed from the Louis Philippe era, circa 1845. This type of bed is called "sleigh" due to its particular shape. The bed was created to be placed against the wall, only the front side is finished and polished. To be more specific, the headboard and one long side of the bed have been created to be placed against the wall, so they are raw and unpolished, as per the photos.
