Description
Antique Empire era console in mahogany feather with white statuary marble top. The undertop band has a slight flare towards the top. The piece of furniture is supported by two columns in the shape of winged griffins resting on rectangular elements. The podded cushion feet support a square base in mahogany feather. Restored by master craftsmen with traditional shellac and handmade alcohol method. Provenance: Sicily 1820 - 1830.
