Empire pendulum clock depicting Forbans, a character from Greek mythology, who feeds the infant Oedipus saving his life. The clock is in gilded bronze and burnished bronze with mercury gilding, movement with wire suspension, early 19th century - Empire (Restoration period), from France. Mechanism signed "Pons".
Measurements: width 34cm, depth 14cm, height 46cm. In excellent condition, working, complete with Certificate of Authenticity.
