Antique painting with lake landscape signed NP, 19th century

Fantastic 19th century oil painting on canvas. The painting features the initials NP at the bottom left (see photo). Attributable to the Italian painter Nicola Palizzi (Vasto, 20 February 1820 - Naples, 20 September 1870) as per the plaque on the frame, lacking authentication. This painting beautifully captures the harmonious relationship between nature and human activity. The intense green of the vegetation evokes a sense of vitality, while the pond and rushing stream add a dynamic element that brings the landscape to life. The inclusion of the country house and the figures working in the fields suggests a narrative, perhaps reflecting the bond between people and the land. The work is accompanied by a beautiful antique gilded wooden frame that has some defects. Price negotiable.
