Antique extendable poplar kitchen table from the 19th century

Beautiful antique rustic extendable kitchen table in solid poplar wood. The table is very simple and linear, characterized by solid turned legs. Equipped with a large drawer divided internally because it was used to contain cutlery separately. The top of this table opens like the page of a book and doubles in size to accommodate more guests at the table. This type of table was used in the kitchens of Italian families in the 19th century; women prepared the dough for pasta on the open surface and left it in the internal compartment while it was rising.
