Antique Empire side table in walnut briar with drawer and inlay on the top

Neapolitan Empire coffee table in walnut from the early 19th century. The octagonal top features a central inlay depicting a basket of flowers made with polychrome wood and mother of pearl. The undercounter band includes a small drawer with maple bottoms typical of the Neapolitan cabinetmaking tradition. The foot consists of a central trunk ending with a quadrangular base resting on cushion feet.
Condition: Restored by master craftsmen with traditional shellac and handmade alcohol method.
Provenance: Naples, early 19th century.
