Antique Empire console in mahogany feather with gray marble top

Antique French Empire console table in mahogany feather with Belgian gray marble top. The front is punctuated by a small drawer highlighted by a finely chiseled gilded bronze escutcheon. The two corners are characterized by two columns in mahogany finishing with capitals and base in finely chiseled gilded bronze. The console was restored by master craftsmen with traditional shellac and handmade alcohol method. Provenance: France, early 19th century.
