Antique Empire clock in gilt bronze with Roman emperor

Antique French Empire clock in finely chiseled gilt bronze, from the early 19th century. The scene is centered entirely on the symbolism of Imperial Rome, in fact we find an emperor with all the objects of the time. The lower part is enriched by a large scene depicting a chariot with a chariot. The dial is in porcelain and bears Roman numerals. The clock is complete with key and pendulum, with fully functional mechanism. Provenance: France, 1820 - 1830.
