Antique bronze sculpture depicting a man with a bundle of branches, 19th century
Rare antique bronze sculpture from the 19th century attributable to Roberto Negri, an Italian sculptor active in Turin between the end of the 19th century and the first decades of the 20th century. This bronze sculpture is highly expressive, probably an allegory of winter. A bent old man in poor clothes carries a bundle of branches on his shoulders. The bronze rests on a wooden base. Traces of an illegible signature or title of the work are present in the lower part of the bronze. Price negotiable.
Measurements with base: Width 29 cm, Depth 28 cm, Height 58 cm.
